Lake Como, Madonna del Ghisallo and Muro di Sormano
Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places in Italy, it is also a place that is linked to cycling. Its the place that the Giro di Lombardia race always plays out its decisive moves - thanks to the mountains that rise up from the edge of the lake. It is also the home to the chapel dedicated to all cyclists – the Madonna del Ghisallo - the chapel sits at the top of one of the most famous climbs in the area. In the area there is also many other famous and hard climbs, including the Muro di Sormano (the wall of Sormano) - made famous thanks to it incredible steepness.
Monza is a city that sits about 7km north of the centre of Milan, in the North of Italy. It is famous in the world for its motor racing track, which every year hold the F1 grand prix and the fact that the last King of Italy was assassinated there. The track is situated in grounds of Europes biggest walled park, the park was the Italian Kings personal hunting ground. The Royal Palace sits on the edge of the park and is with in easy walking distance of the centre. The centre of Monza is dominated by the Cathedral which in turn is surrounded by pedestrian shopping streets.
