Gazzetta Challenge Granfondo Giro di Lombardia

Come to Como with Italian Cycling Tours and experience the final moments of the season, first hand. Then, suitably inspired, you can test your own abilities by cycling in the 2010 Gazzetta Challenge Giro di Lombardia on the same roads as Coppi, Bartoli, Bettini and Cunego in the Giro di Lombardia.




Grandfondo This years Gazzetta Challenge Giro di Lombardia ride is different from past years because they have decided to offer a 114km Mediofondo and a 143km Granfondo, instead of the single 113km of the previous years. Both routes are very similar, except that the Granfondo has the climb to Colle Brianza included, a short steep climb that will challenge all participants, before descending back down towards Lecco and rejoining the Mediofonfo route. Both routes then follow the same route. The route then runs up the lake to Bellagio to the start of the famous Madonna del Ghisallo climb, before heading back down to Albavilla where the climb to Civiglio starts, followed by a steep decent into Como. From Como starts the finial climb to San Fermo, once at the top you just need to descend down hill to Como and the finish.
